Finding Wisdom in Adversity

In moments of hardship, our hearts often question:

"Why this suffering?

Why me?

How can an All-Loving God allow such pain?"

Rather than rejecting these questions, let's welcome them. They are pathways to deeper self-discovery and comprehension of our role in relation to God.

Consider this thought: Harsh situations can, in fact, be a concealed gift. Understanding this may not eradicate our pain, but it can transmute our relationship with it, softening our suffering.

Why have we come into this world? We are here not because of compulsion but because we accepted the challenge to embody and reflect God's attributes, to strive for spiritual ascension.

To deeply understand these divine attributes, we must encounter their opposites.

  • Love shines brightly when faced with hatred.

  • Mercy becomes profound when we stand up to cruelty.

  • When we can feel tranquillity during times of conflict, we get to know a deeper dimension of Peace.

Let's explore this idea with a simple story:

Pain is like an amplifier. When we’re in pain it turns up the volume on our emotions and feelings. We may feel anxiety, angress, stress or fear.

Amid our struggles, we must pause and ask, "Which of God's attributes can I reflect me in this moment?"

Is it Love? Or perhaps Patience? Could it be Forgiveness? Wisdom or Firmness?

When we reflect God’s qualities, we integrate them into our soul, and through that our souls grow in capacity.

Through these struggles, we climb to a higher spiritual plane.

When we die the pain fades into memory, but what remains is the polished mirror of our soul, reflecting the God’s light in every challenge we face.
