In an era where kids are easily distracted by the latest gadget, app, cartoon or game, Sufi Comics presents a refreshing take on classical Islamic knowledge, presenting authentic anecdotes in a format that is palatable, accessible and exciting for kids and adults alike. I still remember my 8 year old daughter’s reaction when I gave her her first Sufi Comics book for her birthday – her face lit up and, eyes gleaming, she shouted, “Wow! I always wanted a comic book!”. The comics explore deep themes involving character refinement and spiritual development, which in itself is difficult to convey to large audiences. My heartfelt congratulations and admiration to Mohammed Ali and the entire Sufi Comics teams for being able to “translate” ancient wisdom into contemporary art.
